Grammy nominated and recorders of the No. 1-ranked pop single “Pick Up the Pieces,” Average White Band gained popularity in Scotland in the 1970s. The album “AWB” achieved gold standard in both pop and R&B, while other singles include “Work to Do,” “Cut the Cake,” “Schoolboy Crush,” “Soul Searching,” “Get It Up For Love,” and “A Star in the Ghetto.” Alan Gorrie and Onnie McIntyre, who both perform vocals and guitar, are original band members from 1972, while other current members have joined over the past two decades.
